Dearest Mr. Buffett:

Though now retired from a long career in operating dance studios, I did start a new global outreach project for improving the process of teaching English as a foreign language. My new MA in TESOL and a trip to both Europe and China convinced me that what I have to offer, as an L2 survivor myself, is a process far superior to what is now offered to get the job done efficiently and effectively. The new project, E:P:N classrooms, is outlined at http://clozeonline.us/Beijing.

Please be so kind and see if you don't agree that the project is one worthy of your support. Yesterday, before the news announcement of your most generous contribution to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, I sent off, via e-mail, the attached letter. It should help in explaining, even without going to the Web site, what the project is all about. Like you, I trust Bill Gates to offer valid advice and/or support, once he looks at the project.

A few words of approval from you would certainly improve my chances of being accepted by the Foundation, even though its education grants are right now limited to US 501(c)(3) organizations. My E:P:N classrooms need to be in foreign countries, but since they teach English, it is not really counterproductive (to enhance their education). In fact, it should help any cause any of us have ever pursued. I hope you agree.

Most sincerely,
